Jennifer Amlen, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker practicing in Manhattan.
Ms. Amlen's practice includes working with anxiety, relationship conflicts, and codependence and issues with self-esteem.
She has extensive experience running groups and working with couples. Ms. Amlen works part-time at The Second Wind, outpatient
substance abuse program, where she specializes in the treatment of addiction and runs several therapy groups there as well.
She currently facilitates a stress reduction program at The Second Wind and has taught classes on addiction at
the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health. In addition, Ms. Amlen has a SAP certificate (Substance Abuse Professional)
where she treates DWI's and also those referred from the Department of Transportation.
Ms. Amlen obtained hey
Master's degree from Fordham University and a certificate in psychotherapy from the Postgraduate Center of Mental Health in
2004. She has published articles in magazines, journals, encyclopedias and new on-line website for NASW which can be seen
below. In 2010-2011, Ms. Amlen worked as a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for The CE Solutions Educational Program.
Ms. Amlen’s first book, “How To Win In The Game of Love,” deals with the psychological
dynamics and communication conflicts that can occur in relationships. Ms. Amlen is also an accomplished songwriter/singer. She can be contacted at
